LINDA CALVERT JACOBSON
Linda has been teaching art
on and off for over 35 years. In 2004 she rented a
space above the New Braunfels Art League, opened
the original Casa de Linda Art Studio and began
teaching basic painting classes for ages 10 through
adult. Expanding the program every year, she
decided to open a second location in New Braunfels
at 850 South IH 35 in Fall 2010 to offer even
more opportunities for people who want to explore
their creativity in a fun and inviting studio
setting. When she is not teaching, Linda is working
on her own art, primarily on a series of wildflower
paintings that she sells and markets
internationally. A native of Floresville, Texas,
Linda has a bachelor of arts degree with a double
major in art and communication arts from the
University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, and
a Master of Arts with a major in communications and
a minor in art from Stephen F. Austin State
University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She has taught in
public school for 3 years and at the university

DAVID A. JACOBSON
Interested in the art of
photography since he was child, David began
capturing the beauty of the scenery around Canyon
Lake and New Braunfels with his first digital
camera in 2004. Hundreds of his scenic photos are
now in homes and businesses throughout the area.
David is the official photographer contracted to
document the construction of a new TPML library at
Canyon Lake. A member of the New Braunfels Art
League, David was named “Artist of the
Month” for April 2010. This past summer,
David taught photography as part of the Casa de
Linda Summer Art Camp program and it was an instant
success. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge
of the principles of photography as well as how to
work digital cameras, and his passion for capturing
life with students ages 8 though adult this fall.

GAYE SEKULA
Gaye discovered her love for
oil painting just before her freshman year of high
school. She painted all through high school, got
married and began raising a family. Once she was
able to get back to painting, she did so with a
passion. She has taught art classes at the Judson
Independent School District, Oasis, as well as
private lessons in her own home. Professional

LYNETTE CLAUSER
Owner of Creative Hands, a
stained glass business originally located in Gruene
and then in downtown New Braunfels, Lynette is well
known for her teaching skills as well as creating
and restoring stained glass creations. She has over
25 years experience in the field and has taught all
levels from basic through advanced. She is excited
to once again be teaching the fine art of stained
glass to adults and introducing children to this

MICHELLE ROBINSON
Michelle Robinson is a
Texas-based, Certified Zentangle Teacher who
specializes in Zentangle Inspired Art. She recently
had her art work in the form of an ATC published in
the book ‘Zentangle(R) 5’ by Suzanne
McNeil.
Michelle teaches private and
group workshops to adults and children in the
beautiful Hill Country.

MAREN PHILLIPS
Maren paints and draws the
natural world through eyes of wonder and is well
known for her award-winning images of dogs,
hummingbirds and butterflies, as well as human
portraits. Her work is in private collections
around the world and her line of greeting cards is
sold at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in
Austin and other retail outlets. Maren has been
teaching art at various venues for more than a
decade, including three years with the Coppini

SHIRLEY (S.E.) BLAND
Shirley Bland (aka S.E.)
is a certified Grumbacher Fine Art
Instructor, having taught most recently in San
Antonio at several Michael’s stores.
Following a two-month residency at the Mill Gallery
and Atelier in Santa Fe, New Mexico, S. E. retired
from Rice University, and for the past seven years
she has taught beginning and intermediate acrylic
and oil painting classes in her Texas Hill Country
studio. Five years ago, she organized and led an
art therapy program at Stone Oak Care Center, with
students ranging from 50 to 93 years old. Her glass
painting classes appeal to adults and children
alike. Her work is currently on display at the UTSA
Health Science Center in San Antonio. Her website

LAURA ANN BEEHLER
Laura Ann Beehler is an
International and award-winning fiber artist, who
has studied and created art most of her life. In
2002 she walked away from a successful career to
pursue her artistic passion full time, specializing
in Fiber Art. In early 2009 she discovered
Encaustics and began using the centuries-old art
form, often with her fabrics in mixed media
projects. Her work is included in several private
collections in the United States and England.
Beehler has served on the board of Fiber
Artist’s of San Antonio (FASA) for the last
10 years and is a member Art Cloth Network, SDA,
SAQA, International Encaustics Artists, Texas Wax
