Fused Glass & Jewelry Making WORKSHOPS
Working with specialized glass and equipment, you'll create, from start to finish, a beautifully fused-glass pin, pendant and earrings using Dichroic glass, jewelry tools and special kilns. Learn how to cut and grind glass, Learn various principles of jewelry design including, texture, harmony, and unity in addition to fused glass techniques including the mechanics of time/temperature ratio's. By the end of the class you will know how create a design, cut and grind your glass, time your firings, and professionally complete your jewelry with added clasps, posts, etc. Fee includes extensive instructions plus all supplies and use of tools needed to complete your projects. Limited to 4 students per session. Bring your lunch (fridge available as well as complimentary water and coffee/tea). Note: No open-toe shoes allowed and all hair must be tied back.
ABOUT LYNETTE...
Lynette Clauser is an award-winning artist and respected instructor, and has taught all levels of students from basic through advanced. While she is widely known for her work in stained glass, Lynette is well versed in different mediums, including pastels, glass fusing/jewelry making, paper making, encaustics and mixed media art journaling. She has studied with nationally recognized instructors and received awards from the Texas Pastel Society and the New Braunfels Art League. Lynette will be offering both classes for adults during the Fall, Winter and Spring, and will be teaching in Summer Art Camp programs at the new Wimberley home for Casa de Linda Art Studio. In addition to being an artist and instructor, Lynette also has for many years generously donated her time by organizing the annual NBAL Children’s Art Show every February.
